John Ashley’s (Berkshire Co.) regt.; entered service Aug. 17, 1777; discharged Aug. 20, 1777; service, 4 days; company marched to Pittsfield on an alarm at Bennington; also. Lieutenant, Capt. Elijah Denning’s co.. Col. Ashley’s (Berkshire Co.) regt. ; entered service Sept. 19, 1777; discharged Oct. 18, 1777; service, 30 days; company called out at request of Maj. Gen.
