Richard Bryant, Chairman of a Class of the town of New Marlborough, to serve in the Continental Army for the term of 3 years; also, Private, Capt. Benjamin Heywood’s (4th) co., Lieut. Col. Calvin Smith’s (6th) regt.; return for wages, etc., for June-Dec, 1782; time allowed from July 1, 1782; also, descriptive list of enlisted men made up for 1782; age, 30yrs.; stature, 5 ft. 11^ in. ; complexion, dark ; hair, black ; occupation, carpenter ; birthplace, Roxbury ; enlisted for town of New Marlborough ; enlisted July I, 1781 ; joined Capt.
